The Amazon Forest is the ideal place to find the material that at first sight seems to be no more than non-germinated seeds, leaves and etc. However, the population living alongside the Amazon River can make a living out of picking up this “material” and turning it into Bio Jewellery.
We are happy to be able to contribute with these communities and would be happy to give you more information on how you can help. Please send us an e-mail if you are interested in finding out more.
Inspiration and Creation
The Indians were the first to reuse natural materials to produce the adornments used for their rituals and parties. Later on, the caboclos who had contact with the Indians learnt the art of reusing natural resources to transform it into beautiful Bio Jewellery and take it to the closest town around the area they inhabited so that they could exchange it for food and sell it in the town open markets.
Cut and Polishing
Indians are very skilled refiners. They combine textures, colors and movement in a very harmonious way in order to transform the raw material in unique pieces that identify their feelings and sensations.
A lot of the pieces we offer have been produced by Caboclo artisans who learnt from Indians how to cut and polish. We also have a small production line in Brazil where we assemble pieces using the beads passed on to us by some of the many cabocla communities alongside the Amazon River .
